Practice: Infinitives

The Infinitive Defined
Infinitives are one of the three kinds of verbals
(If you remember correctly, verbals are verbs transformed. They function in a way that is different than more "traditional" verbs. Verbals act differently!)
Infinitives are easy to identify, as they usually have the same recognizable pattern:  TO + (SIMPLE FORM OF VERB)
Infinitives are tricky, however, because they may function in three different ways: as nouns, as adjectives, or as adverbs.
